Upcoming program
The Planned Giving Council of Central
PA is pleased to announce our first program for 2012 – “Finding Planned
Gift Prospects and Donors by using Social Media” by June Kim
Penrod, Assistant Vice President of Crescendo Interactive. The program is
scheduled for Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Parkview Catering, 17 South Sixth
Street, Lewisburg from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. Registration is at 11:15 am
and buffet lunch will be available at 11:30.
The new world of social media creates
an opportunity for nonprofit organizations to reach and network with a great
number of potential donors than ever before. Using actual charity
examples, this presentation will provide an overview of the most popular
networking platforms (including Facebook, Twitter and Blogger) and show youhow
social media can help you build the ongoing relationships that lead to gifts.
June Kim Penrod provides marketing
expertise for Crescendo’s GiftLegacy eMarketing product. She travels
across the country and consults with nonprofits on their marketing programs in
order to promote the best method of brining in responses and gifts. She
is also an instructor of various Crescendo seminars, including the
Comprehensive and Internet Marketing Seminars. Prior to joining Crescendo,
she worked as the Associate Director of Gift Planning for Westmont College and
served on the board for the Partnership of Philanthropic Planning of Greater
Los Angeles. She had the privilege of serving as the Conference Chair for
the annual Western Regional Planned Giving Conference in 2010. Currently,
she serves on the board for the Ventura County Planned Giving Council.
June has spoken at regional and national events on topics such as senior
donors, eMarketing trends, and planned giving start-up. June holds a BA.
from Bucknell University, Pennsylvania, and an M.S. from Mercy College, New
York.
Area professionals interested in
planned giving, including attorneys, financial advisors, accountants, insurance
professionals, trustees, fundraising professionals and non-profit organizations
are invited to attend this program. The cost of the program is $30 for
non members of the Planned Giving Council of Central PA and $20 for
members. First time attendees will pay the same cost as a member -- $20.
